Pitter patter toil and splatter

--

Inspired by the rainiest night

Rain rain go away ….
I’m not gonna come out & play
Come back when …
.. I’ve got my boat that floats
allowing me to live remote.

I can’t sleep with all this
Pitter patter slurp and splatter
Thats on my canvas roof
And taunts my bladder

I’d get more peace at the
Laundromat
And that’s a truth … if not a fact
& where there’s probably
Fewer rats?

Ho hum Ho hum
I hear your beating drums
It’s war you want
You jear with spite
But I ain’t coming out to fight!

It’s pointless knocking
On the trees
There already weak
At the knees
And here’s me prayin
Or simply saying

I ain listening to your baying!
